Cilantro Mint Chutney

simple and flavorful chutney that can dress a variety of dishes
Cuisine: Indian
  • 1 cup packed mint leaves
  • 1 cup packed cilantro (thin stems ok)
  • ½ inch knob ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • squeeze of lime juice
  • just enough water to blend smoothly (`1/4 cup)
  • ½ small Serrano pepper, de-seeded (optional)
  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Add water in a little at a time. Start with less Serrano and build up if you and your family are sensitive to spice.
