DIY hemp milk

Making hemp milk is so easy, and only requires hemp seeds, water, a blender, and something to strain the milk with.
Recipe type: basic
  • ¾ cup shelled hemp seeds
  • 1.5 L water
  1. put water and hemp seeds into a blender, high speed preferred
  2. blend on high for about 30 secs-1 min, then rest for 5 seconds
  3. repeat at least 5 times
  4. strain through a large fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag
  5. lasts about 3 days in the fridge; the fat (and probably healthy omegas!) seem to settle at the bottom, so shake before each use
*you may sweeten with a few pitted dates (added to blender) or 1 tsp maple syrup and add ½ tsp vanilla to flavor
*If you or your child is particular to things floating in their milk or a slightly grainy texture, I would use a nut milk bag to get all the tiny fragments out
