Warm yourselves up with this delicious chai spiced oatmeal!
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups water*
  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • 1 tiny pinch allspice (it's very strong)
  1. Bring water to a boil
  2. Add in oats, salt, maple syrup, and all the spices
  3. bring back to a boil and simmer on medium heat until thickened to your liking, stirring occasionally so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot
The water amount depends on how you like your oats. If you like them very thick and with a bite you can use a little less. If you like your oats very soft and porridge-y then use an extra cup of water.
